If you’re a fan of Two Door Cinema Club, Del Water Gap, Hippo Campus, Wallows, or honestly any indie rock at all, this is your sign to jump on the Noah Sties wagon. Right now. Immediately.
Noah Sties, an independent artist from Indiana, is making waves in the indie scene. His music blends pop, rock, and punk in a way that feels so refreshing, like someone finally remembered indie rock can be fun and emotionally vulnerable at the same time. His new EP, Giant!, is out November 21, 2025 and was one of the most fun releases I’ve seen all year.
The EP opens with “chasing changes,” an upbeat, catchy track that threw me straight back into my first relationship. You know… all the things I pretended not to see because the rose-colored goggles were practically glued on. The headphone experience is insane, that little synth bouncing around your ears is instant immersion.
Next is “have you moved on yet? (sandcastles),” which dives into the chaos of a messy on-again, off-again situationship. The moody guitar sets the tone perfectly. It’s honestly so needed to have a song that nails exactly what my college situationship felt like without leaving me sobbing on my bedroom floor. Sometimes I just want to reminisce about that traumatic era without crying… thank you, Noah!
Then we hit “cloud 8,” and I was IMMEDIATELY sucked in. Sties’ melodies are unreal. Literally grabbing me by the shoulders and shaking me along with the beat the whole time. It captures that universal feeling of comparing every new person to the ghosts of relationships past… but with such a groovy vibe that you have to dance along anyway.
The EP closes with “mark twain,” which feels like it was MADE for the peak moment of every coming-of-age movie ever. The struggle between “who you are” and “who you’re supposed to be” hits so hard. And that ending chant, “grow up, go out, live fast, die loud” , has been echoing in my brain nonstop.
Overall?
I cannot wait for Noah Sties to absolutely take off. This EP feels like the start of something huge. His lyrics and melodies fit so perfectly into what indie rock fans are craving right now.
I fully plan to dance around my bedroom later, hairbrush mic in hand, SCREAMING the lyrics to these songs. Zero regrets.
