From the Garden State to the Lonestar State: Jeremy Zucker Finds Hometown in Austin

If there’s one thing that Jeremy Zucker fans can agree on, it’s that he truly never fails to deliver an incredible live show. His show at the Historic Scoot Inn in Austin, TX was no exception. Even with the backing screen restrictions that the venue provided (there wasn’t one), Jeremy overcame them and still created a magical night for fans.

Sydney Ross Mitchell

Sydney kicked off the show performing beautiful ballads and grabbing the crowd with every word. A fan in the front row was crying by the second song and genuinely did not stop until Sydney left the stage. Her stage presence and lyricism are absolutely unmatched and created the perfect energy around the venue before Jeremy’s set.

Hometown Vibes

Jeremy opened the show with a fan favorite off of his newest album, Hometown. Within the first few chords of the song, Jeremy’s beautiful melodies and relatable themes of leaving home on the search of something different had his fans entranced.

In the middle of the show, Jeremy offered an incredible four song run of Lakehouse, Comethru, Better Off, and Julia. I don’t think I’ve heard fans screaming that loud and singing along to every single word so clearly. His fanbase is one of the most dedicated I’ve seen in a really long time. Though they don’t have the size of some of the larger artists, their energy is one to be matched.

Banana Man (feat. Jeremy Zucker)

The fan involvement in this show was incredible. There seemed to be an inside joke, at least between Jeremy and this one fan who was dressed as a banana. I don’t think this was his first time at a show for Jeremy and he kept pointing the person out in the crowd all night, even signing his banana costume and bringing him on stage at one point.

While on stage, the banana man™ stole the show. Jeremy asked him to hold his mic in the middle of the song while adjusting his guitar and the banana man took his shot at 15 minutes of fame and started singing a duet with Jeremy (quite well, actually). It was one of the most memorable things I’ve seen happen at a show, maybe ever.

Jeremy’s Garden State Tour continues through October 25, and every stop promises the same kind of magic that Austin got to experience. Between his unmatched energy on stage, the genuine connection with his fans, and the sing-along moments that define his shows, this is a tour you don’t want to miss.
